With over two decades of coaching experience, Virender has served as the Table Tennis Coach and Head of Sports at Delhi Public School, Sonepat, since 2007. Additionally, he has an extensive history of part-time coaching at various schools and universities, showcasing his commitment to nurturing young talents.

Virender Rana's accolades include being a 2-time school state gold medalist, a Senior National Player in table tennis, and a prominent figure in cricket and volleyball. He has organized numerous championships, including the National Table Tennis Championships and International Tournaments, highlighting his contribution to the sports community.

Virender holds a degree in Arts from MDU, Rohtak, along with a B.P.E.D. from Nagpur University and an M.P.E.D. from Sardar Shahar University, Rajasthan. He has furthered his qualifications with a one-year NIS Diploma at Patiala and earned recognition as an International Umpire approved by the International Table Tennis Federation.

Apart from coaching, Virender is actively involved in sports governance. He serves as the Joint Secretary of the Haryana Table Tennis Association and has contributed as a Development Officer under the Table Tennis Federation of India.

Among his notable achievements are his role as an Assistant Coach in the Olympic Tokyo Table Tennis Camp and as the Coach of the Haryana Senior State Team, securing a Bronze medal. Virender has also organized multiple prestigious tournaments, including the Inter DPS Table National Tournament and Swimming Inter DPS National Tournament.
